Prof. Ashok Kundapur has been zealously working on them for the past 35 years.

His review paper on Solar Cookers published in 1998 (TIDE, 8:1, 1-37) is still cited by many researchers around the world.
Along with his coworkers he has proposed world standards for testing and reporting on solar cookers (JESTEC, 4:3 272–281,2009)
Various reviews such as 250 Years Saga of Box Cookers and on cost-effective designs in international journals like Solar Energy (207, 903-916, 2020).
He has participated in several national and international conferences as well.
